Thea's field trip

Thea went to the Baltimore Museum of Industry in November 2006.

This is me with my friends Emma and Ola. They were in my group.

We learned about what it was like in the 1800s in Baltimore.

This museum was on the Harbor. Near the Domino sugar factory.

Brianna and I were pretending to be foremen at an oyster factory. We had to say things like "Keep working!" or "Work harder!" And we had to get anything that somebody needed.

Here I was watching the shuckers and making sure that everybody was doing the right thing.

This was my second job at the factory. I had to pass out things for the oyster shuckers. I didn't get paid much. But as a foreman I got paid more.

This is the company store where we can buy things with the money we earned. But the company took our money for like food and rent, and then we didn't have money left!

Then we got to eat lunch.
